Well, the advantage of water cooled lasers is high efficiency cooling and low noise, small dimensions, the disadvantage is you need either a chiller or a water tap. Air cooled lasers need 3 or more fans, are bigger size, they are noisy, but have no need for a chiller or water tap. Operation therefore is cheaper. There is some more information on our download page. http://www.optlectra.de/download (a pdf file) Seasons Greetings! + Best regards Werner Bleckwendt On 23 Dec 2002 at 12:45, White, Owen R. wrote: > > Could you tell me anything about the difference in using the water > cooled versus air cooled CO2 lasers? > > Is there any documentation on how to cool the air cooled sealed tubes? > > > Owen > > http://shop.optlectra.de/bin/index.cgi > CO2 laser tube, 35W 10,6µm, air cooled: $2239.00 PS: $928.00 Optlectra GmbH - The Laser Company - Customer Service - Leiss Str. 8 83620 Feldkirchen-Westerham (Germany) phone: +49 (0)8063 8888 Fax: 8889 (analog 9600 bps) ISDN-Fax: +49 (0)8063 2003981 (14400 bps) email: info@optlectra.de INTERNET:http://www.optlectra.com PGP Key ID 0x51FBA679 http://www.optlectra.de The LaserStore http://shop.optlectra.de or https://ssl.optlectra.de
